Counseling
School counselors play a vital role in supporting the well-being and success of all students. They provide academic guidance, career planning, and social-emotional support through one-on-one meetings, group sessions, and classroom lessons.
Counselors help students develop coping skills, build positive relationships, and set goals for the future. They also collaborate with families and staff to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
In addition, counselors assist students with course selection, graduation planning, and post-secondary options, including college, vocational programs, and workforce pathways. They help identify strengths and interests, ensuring each student has a personalized plan for success.
School counselors also provide short-term support during times of stress, transition, or crisis, and connect families with community resources when additional assistance is needed. They advocate for students’ needs and work to remove barriers that may impact learning and achievement.
Counseling services are available to all students throughout the school year.
